Hello,

It is my understanding (I may be wrong) that there is a source of
contention behind the Postgresql HOWTO author and the Postgres
development team. Personally I think the Postgresql HOWTO is not a HOWTO
currently.
It is more of a FAQ than a HOWTO and should be moved to such a state.

We should then allow the Postgresql team to develop the documentation
that they see fit for the LDP. I am
extremely familiar with Postgres and would be willing to assist in that.
